Brief Description:  Update on 601XL to 650 upgrade

I spoke with Travis at ZAC this morning, and learned that the 650 plans may not be available until the end of September. They are currently tackling the tail of the new 750 and that is going to take them several weeks. I know they have their hands full trying to roll out two new models simultaneously. Where that leaves me (and plenty of other builders, I'm sure) is in a real quandry. I would like to move forward on my fuselage, but can't do that unless I give up on the changed angle of incidence for the wing (2% down in the back). I really need to come to a final decision soon so I'm not dead in the water. If I decide to continue with the 601XL incidence angle, you should expect posts on fuselage progress very soon. If I swing in favor of waiting for the 650 plans, I absolutely must chart out a course of action that keeps me actively involved in other parts of the project that are not on the critical path, but still need to be done. Good candidates would be painting my landing gear, updating my parts inventory, laying out my instrument panel (and possibly even cutting it), etc. I'm sure there are things I can do, but I question that they will keep me busy through October 1. Watch this space. I'm not idle, but most of my calories are being expended in playing "what if" games on the best path to follow.
