Brief Description: Prep bending brake for painting
I used the angle grinder with a 4-1/2" carbon steel knot wire wheel to remove all rust from the steel. I then washed the brake with soapy water and dried it, only to discover it was still fairly greasy. I then wiped it down with mineral spirits, then all-purpose spray cleaner, followed by another detergent wash and rinse. Mission accomplished--I'm ready to prime and paint. (Time: 1.5 hours)
