Brief Description: Finished rough install of HT skins
Fitting the skins necessitated shortening the skins on each side and that forced a shortening of the spar; about 1/8 inch on the right side and 3/32 on the left. That meant the flange to which the end rib mounted had to be cut off and a replacement made. (See the finished product at the outboard end of the spar in Image 1.) Also removed just a bit of material off of the left skin where it contacted the fuselage. (A bit of clearance will eliminate any "smoking" later on.) The skins were put back on, the twist taken out again, the spar was rechecked to verify is was still straight, the incidence was verified (checked at -2.8 degrees) and final drilling should commence tomorrow.
