After almost three months of no progress, due to a house remodel project, I was able to spend most of a Saturday back at the project. I milled out the hole for the master switch plate group. I installed the switches into the etched master switch plate and mounted it in the IP. I wired all of the switches and installed the connectors. I can now run everything I have wired through the VPX.
The switches are organized so that in normal flight the rockers are all up.
If the primary alternator is lost the right upper switch goes down to switch to the back up alternator, the lower right switch goes down to drop out preselected loads. If the backup alternator is lost the second switch from the right goes down switching on the E buss, the second lower switch goes down to drop additional loads leaving only emergency avionics.
If the VPX or main relay goes down the E buss is a direct feed from the battery keeping the emergency avionics and electronic ignition alive to get on the ground.
