I stripped the layup from the mold tonight and trimed to near final shape tonight. I won't bond it in place until I trim the bottom edge with the canopy on the plane. For now they are taped into place to wiat for the center console to be complete. They leave a nice hollow channel up the A pillar for wire runs.
I used 5 layers of 6 oz and 2 layers of 2 oz cloth. The resulting layup is only about 0-050" thick. It is plenty righid for the A pillar cover, but I wil need at least twice that for the over head. Each A pillar cover weighs in at 2.8 oz.. That should keep with my goal to keep the weight addition to a minimum.
Now on to the next window. Pic 3 is the process of building the foam mold.
