Brief Description: Wired busses together through the Schottky diode.
While waiting for the fat wire crimper I decided to wire the Main and E-Bus together through the Schottky diode. I used 12AWG wire and crimped #6 ring terminals on the diode ends and #10 ring terminals on the bus ends. I then covered the wires with spiral rap to keep them from rubbing the subpanel because of vibration. I used some white electrical tape to number the bus terminals.
I had ordered some colored boots for the switch bat toggles so I covered the bats. I'll need some more colors I think because I've changed my mind about what colors go with what. The P-Mag test switch is put in to cut the power to the P-Mag during runup to be sure the self-powered ignition alternator is working. I used a Carling 1-3 (On-none-On) switch to kill the power in the up position so that the red switch guard in the down position turns power on to the P-Mag.
If the crimper doesn't come in tomorrow, I probably install the TWC Safety Trim and IFC flap modules. That will be a difficult job because my only real option is to put them under the seats between the floor ribs. That's what I get for riveting the baggage floors on way too early.
Used 12AWG to connect Main & E-Bus through the Schottky diode.
