Brief Description:  Determining location of fuse blocks.

I had considered putting my Main and Aux E-Buss fuse blocks between the stringers just in front of the spar on the right side. Two problems have made me change my mind. One is that the copilot's right knee would be in contact with the fuse block occasionaly so that it would have to have a cover over it. Blue Sea has some nice fuse blocks with covers but the wires are attached with ring terminals to screws and the wiring runs would be longer. The real problem is that the rudder cables pass just below where the fuse blocks would be and it creates a bracket design problem with the bottom stringer. I have finally decided to put a drop down panel between the instrument panel and forward panel on the copilot's side.

I have an Affordable Panels modular setup with a subpanel below the panel which contains all the switches. I'll have to design and fabricate the drop down panel to allow clearance on all the switch wiring as the panel drops down, therefore, it will be about 6" wide (panel to forward panel dimension) and about 11" in length with the piano hinge attached to the forward panel. It will take a step by step process to make sure it clears everything. I've seen some nice setups on the forums so I know it can be done. I'll start the designing/fabricating tomorrow.
