Brief Description: Decided how to support transponder tray.
Today I spent most of the afternoon trying to figure a way to support the short transponder tray which will be on the bottom of the radio stack. I messed around trying different ways to make a slide support using 3/4" angles on both bottom sides of the tray and connect them fore and aft to the instrument and subpanel. I can't rivet them because the panel is modular and must come apart easily. I finally decided that I had to fabricate a couple of angles using some spare 0.040" aluminum skin that I have just laying around. The clearances are all very small and I must use flush #8 screws from inside-out on the tray. I did not cut any metal today but will tomorrow.
