Brief Description:  Frame stiffener angle drilled and nutplates rivete

Match drilling the angle stiffener sounds easy until you realize that there are two different size holes that have to be spaced just right to allow easy installation. Since I had decided to use #6 screws to hold the angle to the frame, that meant I had to rivet the #6 nutplates between the nutplates for the #8 screws that hold the panel plates. Affordable Panels drawings shows to rivet the stiffener angle to the frame which means you can not remove the frame once it is installed. That's why I went with the #6 screws and nutplates; I can remove the frame if necessary in the future.

Measuring all those holes required a lot of concentration to be sure that I match drilled correctly. I then had to machine countersink the nutplate rivet holes on the angle and the screw holes on the frame. It took a slow methodical process to not mess up. Not difficult just more time!
