Brief Description:  Spent time with Dynon D-180 and tray.

Today I took the time to temporarily install the Van's panel and determine whether my measurements were correct. By holding the D-180 (inserted into its tray) to the back of the panel, I found that the rib on each side would touch the D-180/D-100 and transmit a lot of vibration. By lowering the tray 1/4" the problem was solved. My measurements will have to be changed on the drawing and redrawn on the panel plate. One can't be too smug with all this software thinking it will solve all your problems. It's just a lot of trial and error with plenty of iterations before you cut metal!

Even though I did not cut and drill, the time was defintely not wasted.
