Brief Description:  Instrument panel lighting & nose wheel pant work.

John, Charlotte and I went to the hangar to work on the nose wheel pant, but I found another job for him. I had been planning to wire a red and white LED strip to the bottom of the glareshield for panel lighting. John voluteered to do that for me. But first he and Charlotte went up for a thiry-five minute flight to give Charlotte some experience of boarding and strapping into the RV-9A. Charlotte thoroughly enjoyed the experience and wants me to hurry up on the RV-7A to "Get'r Done"!

After returning from the flight, Charlotte and John pop-riveted the rudder bottom enclosure to the rudder. I then showed John my schecmatic of the interior lighting and he dove into the project and completed it quickly. He routed the LED strip wires past the left corner of the instrument panel by filing a small hole and inserting a snap bushing. We connected the DC power supply and tested the lights and they worked, yippee!! I continued working on the nose wheel pant job. Wow, how great it is to have an experienced builder help on our project! Thanks, John!!
