Brief Description: Started wiring wing-fuselage connectors.
I practiced crimping a couple of Molex pins before doing it for real. Good thing I did, the new crimper is kind of different than the other crimpers that I've used. The pins have a square body which is held by a square hole in an attached plate bolted to the crimper jaws. I finally got the hang of it.
I crimped the strobe wire pin and inserted it into the connector. The shield braid is also crimped and pinned into the connector so that it will be passed through to the wing connector and the shielded wire in the wing. The shield braid will the grounded on the wingtip. All the lights will also be locally grounded at the wingtip instead of running the ground back to the firewall ground.
Left fuselage connector. There will be 10 wires when finished.
