I agonized over my interior lighting trying to decide what type of map light to install. I discovered that Aveo Engineering had a swivel light called the EyeBeam Touch. It is an LED light with it's own built-in on/off switch, white/red light, and intensity adjustment. This elimated a dimmer, switch, and colored lenses. It uses only 110ma at full intensity and is easy to wire. The only drawback is the price, $164 at Aircraft Spruce. Oh well, its only money, therefore, I ordered two.
I reworked the the Interior Lighting diagram to eliminate the vampire power that the Eyebeam needs to turn on/off. The interior lighting works off the Hot Bat Bus and the battery would slowly discharge without the engine running or a charger connected. Therefore, I reworked the power through the 3 position 2 pole toggle switch to eliminate the vampire power when the switch is in the off position. The dimmer shown in the diagram is for a white/red strand of led lights to be installed under the glareshield for panel lighting. Note that the cabin lights use local grounding.
