Brief Description: Installed Safety-Trim and Flap Controller harnesse
We installed the TWC Safety-Trim and Intelligent Flap Controller harnesses to their modules today. The Safety-Trim harness has 14 wires while the Flap Controller has 9 wires, therefore, we had to separate the sides right away because they have similarly colored wires. To say things can get confused is a understatement! Without the schematics that I had drawn on TurboCad, showing what goes where, we would have immeditately been lost.
I decided to install the terminal blocks on their rib and was doing OK, reaching over the canopy rail with the fuselage rotated, until I strained a back muscle which brought me to the garage floor very quickly. I sat there for a while trying to figure out a way of reaching and installing the terminal blocks through aileron rod fuselage hole. I finally gave up and Charlotte gave me some Aleave for pain relief. The next day was spent on the computer making a spreadsheet of the Stick Wiring Labels for each end of the wires. Luckily the pain went away faily quickly so I should be good for wiring next week.
The harnesses connected to their modules.
Harnesses strung left and right to separate wires.
Safet-Trim wires on the left and Flap Controller wires on the right.
