Brief Description:  Spent 10 days making schematics for stick wiring.

The last week and a half have been consumed on the computer creating wiring schematics for the Infinity stick grips and TCW Technologies Safety-Trim and IFC-1 flap controller modules. I was overwhelmed by the number of wires that had to be interconnected. The two Infinity stick grips have 6 switches and 16 wires each for a total of 32 wires that have to be integrated with the trim and flap modules. The trim module has 14 wires and the flap module has 9 wires. I knew that it would be impossible for me to wire this without good schematics.

TCW Technologies at least had a good schematic of their harnesses that connects to their modules, but Infinity Aerospace really had no wiring diagrams at all. I used TurboCad software and finally came up with some diagrams that will help with the wiring. I will use two 8 position terminal blocks to interconnect the wiring back and forth across the tunnel with the stick wires running to their respective terminal block. The trim and flap modules which had already been installed on seat ribs near the sticks had to be removed when we found that the crotch strap kit from Vans would have to be installed in that area just behind the sticks. The modules will be installed back to back on the forward middle rib behind the instrument subpanel. Needless to say no wiring has been accomplished in quite a few days.

The wiring begins when ordered parts arrive. It will be the "one wire at a time" method with a crimper in one hand and a 90 degree drill in the other. Stay tuned for pictures later!!
