Brief Description:  Continued Aux Battery box construction.

After drilling the holes and countersinking, I backriveted with AN426AD5--6 rivets to make a strong stucture to hold the box. The box will be riveted with AN426AD4-4 rivets (four to each angle) to the fore and aft angles. The reason for backriveting the angles was that there had to be a countersink top and bottom so that the angles would sit flush to the tunnel cover and the box would sit flush in the structure. It seems every move I made created another problem to overcome. An old piece of steel channel that I had laying around came in handy for placing between the angles while backriveting them.

Of course, Charlotte kept a sharp eye out to keep me from screwing up from a momentary loss of the thought process! After completing the riveting of the angles we put it over the tunnel to see if we could still get the srews to thread into the nutplates. Ah, success!

Tomorrow I'll prepare the seel battery box by cutting lightening holes and riveting the steel brackets to the box that holds the battery hold-down bar. After that I'll rivet the box to the aluminum angle structure.
