After three cold rainy days, we finally had a sunny and warm day. I opened the hangar and had great lighting, but it also let the visitors come in. Which means that I did a lot of talking today but not much was accomplished.
I did fabricated two clips for the left forward baffle. I installed the lower cowling to determine the correct position of the baffle in relation to the cowling. I used 0.032x3/4x3/4 angle to fab the clips. The aft clip shares a rivet hole through the inlet ramp which is riveted to an angle below that holds the correct slope of the ramp. There are three more holes in this clip. The left side clip was fabbed but not drilled per the photo. I'll finish the job when we go out again on Sunday. There will be two more clips fabbed for the right forward baffle as well as a conical clip for the left side baffle.
Looking down on left forward baffle with drawn outlines for clips.
Aft clip drilled and clecoed. Side clip shown but not drilled yet.
