Brief Description: Priming, painting, and mounting battery box.
Thursday, I primed and painted the battery box components using Rust-oleum heat resistant paint from a spray can that I had left over from painting a BBQ. I then drilled out the three rivets in the firewall that were enlarged to #12 holes for the bolts that attach the box. After deburring the holes we attached the box with clecos and took the pictures. We'll leave off the box until we accomplish some firewall penetrations for the FWF kit.
I went ahead and fabricated an 0.063 doubler that is needed to attach the battery and starter solenoids to the firewall. I'll rivet it to the firewall tommorrow.
