Brief Description:  Electrical system design and planning.

On March 26 Charlotte's dad had a stroke at about 11:30AM, but we could not get a flight to Colorado Springs because of a blizzard that had shut down DEN and COS airports. We arrived on Saturday but her dad had passed late Friday night. She arranged for the funeral which was the next Wednesday. Projects aren't important at times like this. Life gets in the way of airplane building. But life keeps a-going.

We had friends coming for a visit. My Air Force and airline buddy John Spratt and his wife Carolyn came in to visit. John had built a SeaRey amphibian and he was coming to help me with my electrical system. We had fun in the garage when he showed me how to crimp and solder terminals. He had already started my electrical diagram on his portable computer while flying on the airline to Texas. Over the next few days we (John) tweaked and finessed the diagram until we (he) was satisfied that I could make sense of it and go from there. Before John left he had made bill of materials that I needed to order and purchase. WOW, now I can spend money without using the trial and error method and ending up with a lot of useless parts! Thanks, John.

Now that's what I call a "great" friend!
