Brief Description:  Installed brake hoses to master cylinders.

We decided it was time to finish the brake system and rudder installation. I did the smart thing and ordered stainless steel braided hoses from Bonaco in California. The kit supplied plastic hoses with brass compression fittings which ultimately causes a leaking problem per my readings on the internet. Bonaco had made so many of these hoses for builders that they had all the dimensions and the AN flare fitting sizes all figured out for each RV model. Only $181 for a really professional set of hoses.

I installed all the brake pedals and master cylinders and cotter pinned their castelated nuts. I then used Fuel Lube and screwed the AN flared fittings into the master cylinders. I had to cut two holes into the rudder support bracket that allowed support for the two hoses connecting the left and right sides. The holes had to be large enough to allow the fittings crimped to the hoses to pass through. I slid rubber gromets over the fittings and then installed them into the holes to protect the hoses. After completing this job I changed my mind and removed the hoses so that I could move the rudder tubes back away from the firewall to install other items. It will be easy to reinstall later.
