Brief Description: Mounted boost pump and filter for trial fitting.
We were now waiting for the RV-7A boost pump parts to arrive from Van's. The parts that we did not send back included the pump/filter/manifold assembly and its mounting plate. I decided to mount the assembly and try bending some tubing. I quickly realized that my tube benders only went to a 90 degree bend while I needed 180 degree bends. I called Avery Tools and they would have an Imperial Eastman bender in the mail the next morning.
I next decided to mount the Andair fuel selector to its panel atop the fuel selector cover. I had to drill four holes since the prepunched holes were for Van's brass fuel selector. The easy part was now done and I knew the tube bending was going to give me fits.
The boost pump parts came in today but they left out the top prepunched cover plate for some reason. I called and Van's said they were sorry about that and they would put it in the mail today at no charge (after I griped about this kit had cost me $20 more than the price on the web page). Thanks!
