Brief Description: Put in seat cushions to determine rudder placement
Sure enough, Hurricane Ike is going to go NE of Austin and we problably won't even get any badly needed rain. At least we won't have to worry about devastation. I feel sorry for the folks in Galveston and Houston.
I put in the unupholsterd cushion for the left seat to determine the positioning of the rudder pedal assembly. We had drilled three sets of holes for different positions of the pedals. I positioned my seat back to the middle hinge, and determined that the middle set of drilled rudder holes would be about right for me. I have a short waist with longer legs while Charlotte has short legs and a longer waist. That should give her more room to stretch out her legs without interfering with the pedals. She is not a pilot (yet), so that will make it more comfortable on long cruising legs.
We now have to figure out what colors we want for the upholstery and send the cushions back to Oregon Aero to be finished.
