Brief Description: Still waiting for windshield advice.
We put the windshield back on today and moved it around to look for a better fit. One problem was that I had match drilled the plexi to the roll bar three years ago and any new position will change that hole pattern. We did find that it fit better when it was moved back about two inches. The plexi at the roll bar moved far enough aft that I could cut the old holes off and drill new holes in the plexi to match the holes in roll bar. I would then have to sand the aft edge of the plexi to line up with the aft edge of the roll bar. Still waiting for the expert, so I'm doing nothing for now.
I tighted the jam nuts on the tunnel elevator rod after checking the max/min elevator up/down movement. I had 27.5 degrees up vs. max/min of 30/25 up. I had 20.7 degrees down vs. max/min of 25/20 down.
I then Superfiled the elevator mass balanced ends and the leading fiberglass airfoils. I'll sand them smooth tomorrow.
