Brief Description:  Installed wingtips.

I had prewired the wingtips in my garage, thank goodness. With the temp at 100 degrees I don't think that I could think well enough to wire anything. I connected the wires to the terminal blocks on the wing end rib s and then installed the tips with all those #6 screws. I then had my hangar neighbor come over to observe the lights for an operational check. They all worked correctly, Yippee!

I had drilled a 3/8" hole in the fuselage bottom, right under the fuel selector in the event of a fuel leak in the tunnel. Today I riveted a rudder cable fairing over the hole hoping that it will create a negative pressure in flight to drain any leaking fuel in the tunnel. When I start flying I'll tape a piece of yarn close to the hole and see if it is sucked into the hole, proving that it would drain leaking fuel. We'll see?

I had to climb into the cockpit and lie on my back to install the pitot airspeed and AOA tubes to the Dynons through the subpanel. I thought I might not get out because of all the sweat, but I completed the task. I also installed the cabin vent tubes to the NACA inlets since I was already sweaty. A airport bum aquaintance of mine came by just at the time I was trying to withdraw my body from under the instrument panel, and handed me a large styrofoam cup of iced tea with lemon. He saved my life!!
