Brief Description:  Both wings on.

My brother, Charlotte, and I installed the right wing today. After installing the aileron we mounted the right wing on to the fuselage. I spent the rest of the day trying to get the bolts and nuts on. The large 7/16" interference bolts went in with the use of a plastic mallet, ball peen hammer, and a rivet gun. All the 1/4" bolts were easily inserted using the plastic mallet. The nuts were a different story. I was on my stomach and chest against the spar most of the morning and afternoon trying to install the lower nuts. I finally got all 20 bolts and nuts tightened on both wings. Needless to say, I'll take some Advil tonight when I go to bed. Having the wings on really makes it an airplane, finally!

Tomorrow I'll connect the wing wiring for the lights, autopilot, pitot heat, and OAT probe. I'm using Molex connectors inside the fuselage to connect the wing wires to the switch wires. I'll then insert the aileron rods through the wing tips and connect them to the bellcranks and sticks. That will problably be enough for the day. The wing tips are already wired and will be installed later.
