Brief Description:  Shimed the foam rib on right wingtip.

After letting the adhesive cure for a night, I clecoed the wingtips on to the wings. The right wingtip still had some weakness when pushed along the foam rib. The measurements were dead on for the left wingtip but were not for the right one.

I sanded some wooden shims and glued them to the top and bottom of the foam rib at the leading edged end. (In the photo below you can see the top surface seems a little flat before I added the shims.) This made the wingtip rigid along the rib keeping the fiberglass from bending inward. The wingtips obviously were not laid up on molds with the exact same dimensions. Ah, too many variables when making fiberglass parts. I measured the wing"s "end" ribs and found them to be the same dimensions which was a good thing. Oh well, all in a days work for us steely eyed aiplane builders!
