Brief Description: Finished and installed trim tab.
Finished blind riveting of elevator leading edges.
Trim tab Located position and drilled bent tabs then blind riveted. Aligned trim tab with trailing edge of elevator and spaced trim tab. Clecoed elevator half of hinge between skin and trim spar and inserted pin to check alignment. Alignment checked good. Riveted hinge using pneumatic sqeezer.
The course wasn't long enough to build the Vertical Stabilizer, so I'll build it at home as soon as I get the tools that I need. We'll pack it up and take it home.
Charlotte found some bubble wrap and wrapped all completed empennage parts. We loaded everything into the pickup and hooked up the travel trailer.
Jacob came out with two T-shirts for us as graduation presents. We thanked him for his great instruction and said our goodbyes. My classmate Don Kirmis from North Dakota took off in his rentatl car to catch his flight out of Atlanta as we pulled away to head back to Texas.
