Brief Description: Brake, airblast tube, and empennage work.
We did some miscellaneous work today. I removed the brake pistons and swapped out the buna orings with viton orings to increase the operating temperature range. Experience says you'll eventually burn up the buna orings on a long quartering tailwind taxi. Don't ask!
We removed the aft baffles and riveted some 3/4" air blast flanged tubes that accepts 3/4" cat tubing. The flanged tubes were machined by one of our tech counselors.
The temperature got up to 78 today, so we accomplished the fiberglass cloth addition to the empennage fairing.
