Brief Description: Drilled nutplate holes on vert & horiz. stabs.
My brother and I went to the hangar to install the vertical stabilizer today but I realized that we needed to drill the holes for the nutplates that attach the empenage fairing. I drilled out the open holes using a #27 drill bit for # 6 screws. Then Clark held the nutplate tool as I drilled the #40 holes for the nutplate rivets. I dimpled the rivet holes on the vertical stab using the hand squeezer then Clark dimpled the holes on the horizontal stab. We then riveted the nutplates to the vertical and horizontal stabilizers using the hand squeezer.
We stopped for lunch and then went home to beat the rush hour traffic. We forgot to take the camera , sorry no pictures.
