Brief Description: Finished aileron trim installation.
Today, we finished the aileron trim installation. I had to make pattern out of cardboard for the hole pattern of the servo motor and drill the from the opposite side of the rib. I could not get the 90 degree drill into the center tunnel to match drill because of the elevator control rod. You guys that haven't already installed the control rod will have a much easier task. I attached the links to the servo and the actuator and then mounted the whole contraption between the ribs. It wasn't easy but I got it done! The instructions called for 0.041 safety wire for connecting the actuator arm to the bottom of the stick controls, but I only had 0.032 wire. Oh, well, I needed to order some other stuff anyway. I'll finish it when the wire comes.
We have to leave town for Colorado to go and check on Charlotte's 97 year old dad, so the project will be stopped for a week.
