Brief Description:  Quick Build Wings and Fuselaged Delivered.

Today, Tom Wester, a driver for Tony Partain Transport delivered the Quick Build wings and fuselage. Clark, Charlotted, and I helped Tom to unload his trailer with 3 QB kits that Van's had loaded with mine in the front of the trailer. Austin was Tom's first stop on his way back to Ocala, Florida where he lives. He had back hauled a load of motorcycles and other things for a person to Oregon. On the way up to Oregon, he had encountered the flooding Texas rains around Dallas, forest fires in Utah, and forest fires in Oregon where he was trapped on the road for quite a few hours.

Tom arrived in Austin and found our house using LuLu (his GPS) about 5:00 PM. After unloading we invited him for supper and barbequed chicken. He readily accepted and we had a great visit with him as he told us about some of his flying experiences and how impressed he was with the RV quick build kits and airplanes. He had over 5000 hours flying and a lifetime of entrepenurial business and working experiences. He said that he tried to convince low time pilots to let someone with a lot of experience in RV's make the first flight, and also get a some good transition training in their model of RV before flying their just finished airplane. If all the drivers with Tony Partain are as well versed as Tom, then Tony is very lucky. Tom is a fine gentleman and after supper he left at 9:00 PM to head for Taylor, Texas, then on to Tennessee and North Carolina before going back home to Ocala for 30 days off.
