While working under the instrument panel, I inadvertantly switched on the fuel boost switch on one of the Infinity stick grips. Since I had wired the boost pump with power from the Hot Battery Buss, it came on immeditately and I hit my head and bloodied my hand trying to get out from under the panel to turn off the switch.
I decided to rewire the fuel boost pump to the E-Buss so that you have to turn on the Master Switch first. This will give power through the fuel boost relay when the panel boost pump switch is turned on. I then unwired the stick fuel boost switches and will use the panel switch until I get used to the plane. I will problably reconnect the pilot's stick boost pump switch after Phase 1 is finished.
I also tried to remove a dent in the left aileron that was caused by the plane rolling off the scales and hitting a column in the hangar while trying to weigh the plane yesterday. Arggh! It was all my fault for not anticipating what might happen. I pulled the trailing edge dent with an automotive dent puller after drilling a small hole. I then filled the concave areas with some light density filler. I'll sand them tomorrow after they have cured overnight. Hopefully the mass balance is not messed up!
Trailing edge dent on the aileron was pulled out and filler applied. Top view.
