Brief Description: Located pitot tubes positions behind subpanel.
Today I took some extra pitot tubes and located their final positions temporarily behind the subpanel. This is necessary before I rivet on the top forward skin. I had previously run the white static air tube to the Tee fittings behind the subpanel and drilled holes with snap bushings to plug the tubes into the Dynon 100 & 180 EFIS already mounted on the instrument panel. The airspeed and AOA tubes from the wing will connect to the preplaced fittings on the subpanel, but I had yet to actually run the tubes and riveted zip tie mounts to the panel.
I drilled two holes into the subpanel lower flange and added snap bushings. The tubes will come into the fuselage from the left wing and will go through the carrythrough spar and past the gear mount and up the left side into the two subpanel flange holes. They will be zip tied to the mounts and pluged into the fittings.
