Brief Description:  Filler on the cowling and drilled out rivets.

Charlotte had me put the cowling on the plane. She then mixed a batch of epoxy and low density filler to fair the lower cowl to the top cowl. We'll let it cure overnight and then sand it tomorrow.

I had to crimp a coax cable connector to the ELT antenna wire that I had inadvertantly knocked off when climbing around in the tailcone wiring the elevator trim. I had put off doing it so long that I had to relearn how to do it by reading Bob Nuckolls instructions in his book. Oh, well, it's now done.

The QB fuselage came with the rivets already installed that holds the upper nose skin at the roll bar. I had to drill them out to be able to install the skin. I drilled out 7 rivets on each side. The problem was that I had run wires in that area on the right side and the static air tube on the left side. I had to be very careful but it worked out OK, I think. I'll have to use blind rivets to replace them because there is no way to get a bucking bar in with the wires and static tube in the way.
