Brief Description:  Plenum angle trimming and fitting.

We skipped a day of work because a cold front blew in on May 1 with 30 to 40 kt winds with gusts up to 50 knots. On Friday I went to the hangar in temps in the lower 40's with a high in the 50's for the day. This was about 25 degrees below normal for early May in Central Texas. Luckily we didn't have a freeze to kill Charlotte's flowers which we put out last week.

I worked on the fiberglass plenum by heating and bending the foward lip that goes over the forward baffles. That made it fit much better at the aft edge. I fluted and trimmed another angle for the right aft baffle and will match drill it to the baffles tomorrow. Before leaving for the day, I decided to fit the AntiSplat gust lock that came in yesterday by FedX. After streamlining the elevator, I put the pin in the fourth hole from the stick and the attached it to the stick with the other pin. I then pushed the two parts in line with each other and slipped the coller over the joint and it was on. Worked like it was made for the job, which it was of course! Nice workmanship as is everything that I've bought from AntiSplat Aero.
