Brief Description:  Reinforced inside of wheel pants.

After finally finalizing the positions of the main gear wheel pants yesterday, we proceeded to reinforce some of the weak areas today. Charlotte cut quite a few pieces of glass cloth that we epoxied to the insides of the wheel pants in areas that the pant did not quite touch the brackets. A buildup will allow the pant to rest onto the bracket without deforming the pant when the screws attach the pant to the brackets.

We also added a couple of layers of glass cloth to the AntiSplat nose gear leg fairing at the point that it is clamped to the leg. My buddy John made us aware of this weak area. The main gear leg fairings were strengthened by adding more glass cloth to the "fingers" that are cut into the fairing for attachment at the top of the gear leg with a worm gear clamp.

Tomorrow, more trimming and sanding! We'll also start work on the interface farings. Did I say how much that I hate fiberglass work?
