Brief Description:  More work on nose gear fairings.

The nose gear leg interface fairing came in the mail last night, so we decided to install it today. Nice thought, but its going to take some time to complete the task. After trimming the lower connection point of the AntiSplat fairing to get the leg fairing-to-gear clearance just right, we found that we would have to trim the interface fairing to fit the leg fairing.

Finding the centerline of the cowling would seem easy, but it isn't. The interface fairing must cover the hole ahead of the leg fairing which is about three inches. Once installed on the leg fairing, the leg fairing must be twisted left or right to line up with cowling centerline (ie., the airplane centerline) which is difficult to see. I stretched a string from the tail tiedown ring to the nose gear leg to determing the trailing edge of the leg fairing. Suffice it to say we are not quite there, but close. I'll work on it some more tomorrow.
