Brief Description: Installed Skybolt flanges to FW.
The upper cowling aft edge was trimmed by measuring forward 2" from a line that had been drawn on the fuselage 2" back from the FW and upper skin. I used my saber saw and then sanded to the Sharpie line the last bit so as not to take off too much. I then clamped the Skybolt flanges around the FW and match drilled them to the prepunched holes. The split line flanges on either side were not drilled because the final trim to the upper cowling had not been determined.
Everything seemed to be accomplished in slow-motion because I didn't want to screw up. I took my time and thought through each step and rechecked the instructions before moving forward. Very time consuming.
