Brief Description: More landing light cradle building.
The aluminum plate will have a slot at the forward end to hold a screw and washer that will fasten to a nutplate riveted to the inside of the parallel cutout face to hold the light in position. The slot also allows the up and down adjustments. The plywood layer was glued using E6000 industrial adhesive. I will also drill a #40 hole at the forward end just below the slot for a -3 rivet to hold the half fiberglass cylinder secure. The aft end of the cylinder will be held by the pivot screw.
In the third picture below you can see the half fiberglass cylinder next to the light.
Aluminum plate and plywood layer.
Plywood layer positioned on the plate.
Clamps holding the plywood until the adhesive cures.
