I took the landing/taxi light and tried to model how it would fit into the wingtip cutout. I did this first on the workbench and then later on the wingtips. I discovered that I should be able to make 5 degree up and down adjustments assuming that I could come up with a way of mounting the lights.
I got onto the VAF forum and found that Darwin Barrie had mounted his lights similar to how I wanted them mounted. I emailed Darwin and he sent me some pictures of the cradle he made using fiberglass. I was very grateful for his reply. All I had to do was figure out how he made his mold for the cradle. Not as easy as it looked and I hate working with fiberglass.
