Brief Description:  Installed coax to VOR antenna.

Crawling into the tailcone is not my idea of fun, but it was necessary to install the VOR antenna coax cable. I had previously drilled holes and added snap bushings into the three bulkheads from the baggage area to the tail. I had also added some zip tie mounts on the rib behind the baggage area. I added some stick-on tie mounts to the tailcone floor.

I snaked the coax from behind the subpanel, down the firewall, under the fuel boost pump, thru the spar, down the tunnel, thru the left tunnel wall, out the aft baggage bulkhead, and then back thru the tail cone to the antenna. I had to add an adel clamp (riveted an angle to the angle to hold the clamp) to the vertical angle behind the baggage area to keep the coax from chafing the vertical. It took a lot of in and outs of the fuselage with quite a few head bumps.

I finally crimped on the BNC connectors and connected one to the antenna and the other end to the SL30 Nav connector. Enough for one day!
