Brief Description:  Installed antenna coax cables.

The RG400 coax cable order had come in on Monday, but after trying to strip the cable for the BNC connectors, I realized that I needed the proper tool. A website by Matt had shown a tool he used for stripping coax so I ordered a Paladin 1225 coax stripper from Amazon and it came in on Thursday. It made stripping coax cable simple and quick.

I had pulled the cables before, now I just needed to secure them to the structure and crimp on the BNC connectors. The xponder antenna cable was zip-tied to the brake tubing and it ran up the left firewall angle, to the middle rib, then down to the transponder. The com antenna cable a ran through the spar, around the right gear mount, up the side channel to the subpanel, and then along the bottom of the subpanel through an adel clamp and finally connected to the SL30 com female connector.

The most difficult procedure was drilling the holes to install a platenut for the adel clamp on the subpanel. Installing the zip-tie mounts was just a matter of drilling 1/8" holes and hand riveting the LP4-3 blind rivets.
