Brief Description:  Ops checked the intercom!

After three months of drawing the schematic and agonizing over the wiring, we had come to the point of ops checking the intercom. If it worked OK, we could contiue with the wiring of the EFIS's as well as the com and nav antennas. We continuity checked the wiring of the jacks again and everthing looked OK.

Charlotte and I donned our headsets and brought out the GPS496, iPod, and the input cable as well. I connected the power supply and inserted a 2A fuse and toggled the battery master on. I then toggled the intercom switch on and adjusted the squelch and volume and low and behold, we could hear each other!! The VOX worked great and the push button switches as well. The GPS 496 output some audio alerts while running on its battery. We plugged in the iPod and were surprised at the great sounding music! What a relief!! Now, onward and one of these days, upward.

Next comes the gps power/data cable wiring followed by wiring in the Dynon EFIS's.
