Brief Description:  canopy skirt 13.1

I called this skirts 13.1 because I seem to be revisiting the same area of work over and over. I dont spend much time but it seems to be moving forward. I do waste a fair amount of epoxy sincce I always have a partial batch left over. Oh well, right?

Pic 1 below shows the built up edge I have been working on. You can almost se the mark below the epoxy that marked where the hole needs to be drilled. I should have plenty of clearence now. The next issue will be how to transition this built up area back down to the original edge without it being too noticable. The hole to be drilled is higher up on the skirt edge from the others because I did not acount for the skirt when I was marking and drilling the canopy to the bow. One that was drilled, there wasnt anything I could do about it but leave it and find a solution later.

I had built up the edge with 2 layers of BID and epoxy and then the final coat was epoxy and flox with peel ply for finish. Now I just need to get that hole drilled!

Pic 2 shows the thickness achieved. I still have enough to sand down to match the skirt tickness

Pic 3 shows how Im tapering the built up edge down to the original as it goes aft
