Brief Description:  Left canopy skirt form fit-1

1. Made 11 cuts in the left canopy skirt in aft area where it wasnt laying tight against the fuselage. Since this method seemed to work ok on left side last year, thoght Id do it again on this side. Most of the time was spent prepping the fuse with wax paper so that the epoxy would not stick to it and then a stand to press a block against the skirt to hold tight against the fuse while the epoxy cures.

2. Made a batch of epoxy and saturated a strip of fiberglas cloth that I applied to the back side of skirt along all the cuts except for 4 that I will do after this first cure.. Closed the canopy which will hold the fiberglass strip and epoxy flat against backside of skirt.

3. With canopy closed, I added cotton flox to the remainder of the epoxy mix and then spread on the outside of skirt over the cuts and smoothed out with plastic spatula. I wrapped a piece of wood in wax paper and pressed against the area and clamped in place witgh pressure against it to hold firm against fuse.

The forward area will be done after this cures in the same maner.
