Brief Description:  Glassed Air Inlet Ring into Cowling

In preparation of glassing in the aluminum air inlet ring, packing tape was placed on the glue side of duct tape. The duct tape was placed on the outside of the air inlet on the cowling. Another layer of duct tape was applied over the duct tape/packing tape combo to ensure no leakage of the epoxy slurry. Packing tape was wrapped around the aft part of the ring and the front inside part of the ring was waxed with car wax. The car wax should keep any excess epoxy slurry mix from sticking. A circle was drawn around the ring on the inside of the cowling. The circle was a reference line for determining how much slurry to apply. The ring was inserted into the air inlet. Epoxy was mixed with flox so that the mixture was fairly fluid. A popsicle stick was used to spread the mixture around the ring and all of the way down and around the ring.
