Brief Description: Measured Cowling Inlets and Openings
I finally measured the diameter of the cowl inlet ring, which is 5 1/4". The diameter of the inlet openings is about 5 3/4''. The gap on each side of the cowl inlet is about1/4". I spent a lot of time looking at the cowling trying to visualize possible ways to tirm the cowl.
