Brief Description: Assisted with Riveting Fairing to Canopy
Walt Halloran assisted with riveting the fairing to the canopy. After the riveting was completed, he sanded all of the rivet heads. One rivet was not set properly, so it was drilled out and reriveted. The canopy was put into the tip-up position and the fairing was riveted to the side skirts, with handles attached. These rivets were riveted with the pneumatic squeezer and the no-hole yoke.
One rivet by the canopy lock was drilled out because the head was pushed out. The hole was slightly enlarged, so it was enlarged with a #30 reamer. An oops rivet was used in this hole and riveted in place.
