With Walt Halloran's help, the fairing was riveted onto the canopy with AACQ4-4 pull rivets and Jeff's pneumantic pull-rivet puller. I wasn't sure if the rivets would be long enough, so we made a mock-up of the thickness of the canopy frame tube, canopy, and fairing and used a rivet on them. The rivet length was right at the very minimum length, but the pieces were tightly held together, so the rivets were used. Solid rivets were used to rivet the fairing to the side skirts and also with the handles on each side.
