Jeff Paden showed me how to lay up the fiberglass. He cut off about 3" of the center overlap on three of the left and three of the right strips. This will reduce the amount of bids in the center, as well the amount of sanding in that area. Plastic will be placed on the overlap areas to make it easier to overlap the left and right strips.
Jeff had a large sheet of plastic taped to a cutting board and then drew the outline of the fairing templates on the plastic. We mixed the epoxy and resin and brushed the mixture onto the plastic inside of the drawing. We then placed a long strip on the plastic and made sure that the strip was covered in epoxy/resin. When we were done, the bottom and the top each had the long strips overlapping, with the short strips in the middle.
